Ride the Lightning is the forgotten album, inbetween two powerhouse metal albums. This is an amazing album with tracks such as Creeping Death, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Fade to Black, Escape, Trapped under Ice and Ride the Lightning. All of these tracks can go up as Metallica greats but unless you hear it you'll never know.
  2. The song is minutes long and is the shortest on the album, its composers are James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich and Kirk Hammett. Inspiration to write the text of the song was the work of Howard Phillips Lovecraft. The text is written in first person who talks about what horror he is going through being trapped under the ice.

I don't know how to live trough this hell Woken up, I'm still locked in this shell Frozen soul, frozen down to the core Break the ice, I can't take anymore Freezing Can't move at all Screaming Can't hear my call I am dying to live Cry out I'm trapped under ice Crystallized, as I lay here and rest Eyes of glass stare directly at death From deep sleep I have broken away No one knows, no one.

When you look at big hitters like For Whom The Bell Tolls, Ride The Lightning, Fade to Black and Creeping Death which take up the majority of the album, it is truly impossible to deny that this is an incredible record. Even the lesser tracks like Trapped Under Ice and Escape are of reasonably high quality, despite their lack of decent song writing/5(1).

Kill 'Em All ( Gram Vinyl) by Metallica Vinyl $ Ships from and sold by gavinarakeleronmalofym.xyzinfo FREE Shipping on out of 5 stars This LP plays beautifully. Reviewed in the United States on March 9, Having said that, at least it's audible on this record (except on Trapped Under Ice where it's basically inaudible) unlike on Master of /5(1).
  7. Heavy Metal, was often thought to be Satanic music during the 80's. Metallica could not get their music out to the public in the way they wanted to. If left the feeling of being "trapped under ice." They were delegated to MTV and its Headbangers Ball.
